GILBERT SANTOSFounder & Business Development

Gil possesses a diverse professional background and has been involved in various pursuits. He achieved academic honors and athletic awards during his formative years in Vancouver, Canada. He subsequently earned a bachelor’s degree from Simon Fraser University and obtained an MBA from Haroun Education Ventures.

Professionally, Gil has demonstrated a broad range of skills. He began his career at Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), where he assisted the public with case files and immigration programs. He later transitioned to the Information Technology sector, holding key roles at eBay, PayPal, and Microsoft. Additionally, he has experience in the mining exploration industry, managing mineral land claims through his company, G. Santos Geoscience Ltd. 

Following his corporate career, Gil’s desire to make a positive impact led him to community service. He managed a private care home for youth, serving as a mentor and having a positive influence on young lives. His commitment to community service reflects his character. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, music, and mixed martial arts. He also utilizes his interest in technology and artificial intelligence in practical work tasks.

MARITES SUMAGUIPresident Regulated Immigration Consultant (RCIC# R708856)Link to CICC Marites was born and raised in the humble yet vibrant City of Lucena in Quezon Province, Philippines. In 1994, she finished her BA in Communication degree from the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City. She worked in the banking, direct selling, international relations, and diplomacy offices in the Philippines. She came to Canada as a Temporary Resident in 2000 and got her working permit in 2001. She went through the immigration process and became a permanent resident and Canadian citizen. As someone who believes in the value of learning, she took Teaching English as a Second Language course from the Vancouver Career College in 2004.

With her intrinsic desire to help others, she developed an interest in immigration law as families and friends came to visit, work and immigrate to Canada. Thus, she pursued the course on Immigration Laws, Policies and Procedures Program at the University of British Columbia. She is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC# R708856). She is also in good standing with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants and the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants Organization.

Apart from immigration consultancy, she remains committed as a public servant, devotes her time as a trainer, voice talent, host and performer at community events. 

JEREMIAH SUMAGUI Immigration Legal Assistant

Jeremiah was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada. He also graduated with Honours at Saint Thomas More Collegiate in Burnaby. He is pursuing Political Science at the University of British Columbia. He is a member of the Chor Leoni MYVoice Vancouver choir. He is a certified Immigration Legal Assistant Program, with a certificate from Ashton College. 

Jeremiah loves to sing, act, sketch and write. He also enjoys volunteering in community events as a journalist/reporter and performer.
